A new report, commissioned by the State Government, charts the introduction and reaction to the life-changing technology of the National Broadband Network (NBN) to
Willunga, south of Adelaide.

Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology Chief Executive Raymond Garrand said the publication by Dr Mel Gregg ‘Willunga Connects: a baseline study of pre-NBN Willunga’, looks at the current use of
broadband; the need for education; capability building for citizens and business, and the need to explain the benefits and use of the NBN as civic infrastructure.

The study included interviews and an online survey with businesses and households
