When Opposition communications spokesman Malcolm Turnbull talked up the potential of G.Fast at this week's national broadband network debate with journalist Alan Kohler, much of the audience might have thought he was talking about a new action-hero from the movies.
Unless you are a telecoms obsessive you probably have no idea that G.Fast is a new technology that helps deliver ultra-fast broadband speeds over copper networks – and has already delivered 1.3 gigabits per second (Gbps) over a 70-metre length in an Alcatel-Lucent trial."
